Groundhog Day

I don't normally explain my funnies, but this is in reference to the Training Arc. And yes, it's out of canon.

For about five years now, Groundhog Day as been my combined New Years and St. Patty's Day. The evolution of my celebration of February 2nd is a mystery, even to me, but it can be traced back to the Bill Murray classic and my ambivalence towards Valentine's. I needed a solid late winter holiday, and this certainly fills the bill. There's usually a lot of drinking and general asshattery on my part, little of it having to do with Punxsutawney itself.

I'm glad I get to update this on Thursday night/Friday morning, because tomorrow I will be incapable of coherent speech or typing.

Cheers. Try celebrating it and spreading the word. Winter is almost over, shadow or not. That's something to be excited about!
