Both are pretty ok, but the AZN one is definitely better as far as use of light, lines, framing, and color go. The rainy backlit one is just trying too damn hard.

Moar h8t Mail (thanks Tbowl for the catchprase): So Aarin’s Desk has become Debasement 2? I’m using two comics to do the job of one, trying somehow to compensate for the discrepancy of popularity?

If you’ve been following along, Debasement was actually Aarin’s Desk 2, with both being comparable in NSFW imagery until just a few weeks go. So really, there’s this cycle where both are doing the same thing, but both spin in completely opposite directions; two wheels: the same spots will eventually point at one another over a hundred revolutions.

I certainly won’t fault that, since as long as DB is running, there’s going to be some overlap: sexual discussions have been in AD since Arc 1.

Fact of the matter is, there’s things I can do in AD that I can’t do in DB (focused, streamlined conversation), and there’s things I can do in DB that I can’t in AD (rapid topic changes). Both paint a picture, but the brushstrokes are different. Get it?

After Season 1 and Arc 4 limped to it’s finished, I really wanted to return to AD’s core. I said as much. The core would be banter and debate about provocative situations. I challenge you to find the overlap where I’ve had this current strip’s line of content beforehand.
