Crowfeathers: New site design! Wai wai desu~!! Really smart idea there. Hasn’t updated in 5 weeks. Since Sage goes in chunks, we’re looking at a 7-9 week gap between chapters 23 and 24.

Debt On: The fuck…“Sorry for the lack of updates — I’ve had a lot on my mind lately, working on going back to school, starting a new job tomorrow, etc. etc.”

BetaPwned: U-Updating on schedule? Go Tanya, Go! Site tweaks also help. She mentioned something about revamped art, but I didn’t notice.

+EV: Recent Scarlett and Violet love makes it worth a 2nd look. That’s payoff. It also helps that I’ve started running with Hold’em junkies. Crazy bastards.

Best Friends Forever!!!: 3 updates in 3 months isn’t hiatus, but it sure feels like one from the internet’s most inconsistent sprite comic.

Treading Ground: LOL hiatus. Taking time off to get a job? If you’re unemployed that’s 7×24 free hours to write a damn comic. Whatever.

Bear and Kitten: I liked the Drop-Bear gag and all but…anyway, she’s 20+ large and actually legit. Now with archives! Still with news-scroll of death!

School Spirit: Is currently invested in some damn interesting World War 1 history (especially when I cross-reference). Comix as education?

The rest are too new to comment on, but one is complete and two have skipped updates. That equates to nearly a dozen instances of hiatus, devolving to unscheduled updates, or skipped weeks (not days).

Just so you all know, it’s not a portent to creative illness to go on hiatus, it’s a webcomic’s death throes. I’m not saying all the time, but many never return. And letting updates pass sends a signal of this very presumption. Some readers are understanding. Some move on. Just don’t expect them to stick around, then wonder to yourself why they didn’t.
