Anatali's name goes back to the Second Dark Age when surviving families of World War III melded together. Genealogy traces them to eastern Russia. Guided by visionaries, the family led the Juneau Project, sending humanity back into space, heralding a new future for mankind. Following generations added to the legacy, intent on surpassing humanity's former glory. They became a driving financial, political and scientific power in the Sol System's colonization. One of the first families of influence to take residence on Mars, they inspired many to do the same.
In 3031, the family opened Anatali Private School, the first Martian college. The school's success was repeated at sister academies and universities, supported by alumni who contributed to their goals. Within a century, Anatali turned the corner with several laboratories and profitable patents—they became a corporation. They purchased an independent territory, Alaska, and won colonization rights to a corner of Aphrodite Terra, a continent on the newly terraformed Venus.
In the years preceding Apocalypse Eternal, Anatali didn't become militarized until a Venusian invasion was imminent. Their reluctance gave them a major advantage. They had an extra decade to advance their cutting-edge science and a decade less to make enemies. Anatali was respected for its defense-only stance and its ferocity when retaliating. They were the last organization standing before Venus' survivors collapsed on their borders—just before the planet was sanitized of life.
During the Age of Limitation and the formation of the Sol-Union, Anatali was once again instrumental in placing humanity first and greed second. The corporation steered mankind's vision towards technology and the stars. Anatali would once again flourish, even in an age where endless progress reached its cap in every field.
Everything changed in the late 39th century. Juneau's Anatali University sharpened the brightest minds in history. Fairbanks' laboratories created a dream-team of out-of-the-box thinkers. It was time to defy convention and interplanetary law all to propel humanity onward. Original theories about dark energy were refined into science. Before the 40th century's end, Anatali activated an acceptably safe DETH reactor. Both Io and Anatali released reports of their success simultaneously. While the Sol-Union fumed at Anatali's top-secret approach, they were jubilant an ally, not only Io, possessed the technology.
In the centuries since, Anatali has jumped from a paternal organization to a superpower. In 4126, with their political status in flux, they launched a new breed of Star Station, the exodus-class. 38 million colonists now seek a new future aboard Anatali Station. While they continue to proclaim the advancement of humanity as their goal, outsiders are ever crtitcal about their successes and failures.
